NIKKI EGNA

Nikki Egna is a current master's student working towards a dual-degree with Duke University's Nicholas School for the Environment and the Pratt School of Engineering. She completed her Undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California where received a B.S. in Environmental Science.

 

During her studies at USC, Nikki was introduced to the statistical coding software R, and quickly realized the potential for this technology as it relates to environmental data analysis. She has since developed her skills further in her position at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research where she worked as part of a team that studies Reticulated Giraffes in northern Kenya, and now brings her skills in R to the Poulsen Lab where she assists in the assessment of above ground biomass of study areas in Gabon.
